Drug Formulation

1 jin of white horse manure, 1 jin of white cow manure, 1 jin of white sheep manure, 1 jin of white pig manure, 1 jin of white chicken manure, 1 jin of Lo Lu, and 1 jin of Gaoben.

Processing

Burn all ingredients on a stone until they turn to ash, grind them into a fine powder, and sift through a silk sieve. In 1 sheng and 3 he of pork fat, boil 1 liang and a half of tangled hair until the hair is completely dissolved; then add the powdered ingredients and simmer over low heat for 5–6 boils until the medicine is ready.

Instructions for Use

First, remove the scab from the sore, wash it with salt water, and pat the area dry with fresh cotton before applying the ointment. If there is no scab, washing with salt water is especially necessary; do this twice daily. Once the ointment is applied, cover the area with a piece of silk.

Note

Avoid exposure to wind and cold.
