Drug Formulation
Beeswax 1 liang, a fistful of human hair, sesame oil 1 liang, mercury oxide 2 qian (ground separately), and pig gallbladder 2 jin.

Processing
First, boil the sesame oil until it comes to a boil 4–5 times. Next, add the beeswax and boil for another 4–5 times. Then add the hair and simmer over low heat, stirring constantly with a locust twig until the hair is completely dissolved. Strain thoroughly, then add the mercury oxide and simmer briefly for about one hour. Remove from heat and place in a porcelain bowl; soak in cold water for a short while to form the ointment.

Instructions for Use
For all types of damp sores and oozing sores, apply the ointment for half a day; when yellow fluid begins to ooze out, wipe it dry, reapply the ointment, and continue applying it for one seven-day period until healed.
