8 liang of Naoyanghua (steamed with wine 9 times), 8 liang of Xanthium seeds (roasted), 2 liang of decayed turtle shell (calcined until white as frost), and 2 liang of Strychnos nux-vomica (roasted with vinegar).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with 1 jin of honey, simmer until all moisture has evaporated, then transfer to a bamboo tube and hang in a well-ventilated area.

At the onset, take 5 fen with wine; those with weak constitutions should take 1–2 fen; those who cannot drink alcohol should mix it with granulated sugar.
