Drug Formulation

Sichuan pepper (seeds and closed tips removed, roasted until sweating) 1 liang 1 fen; dried ginger (roasted) 1 liang; Magnolia officinalis (coarse bark removed, coated with ginger juice and roasted) 1 liang; Scutellaria baicalensis (black core removed) 1 liang; Asarum (stems and leaves removed) 1 liang;Peony root 1 liang, Cinnamon bark (coarse bark removed) 1 liang, Platycodon root (stir-fried) half a liang, Bird’s beak (roasted until cracked, skin and navel removed) 1 fen, Bupleurum root (stems removed) 1 fen, Poria cocos (black skin removed) 1 fen, Moutan bark 1 fen.

Grind the above ingredients into a powder, mix with refined honey, and form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
