Drug Formulation

Muxiang 3 qian and a half, Cinnamomum cassia 2 qian (with coarse bark removed), Angelica sinensis 3 qian and a half, Panax ginseng 2 qian and a half, Poria 1 qian, Tangerine peel 2 qian and a half, Magnolia officinalis 2 qian and a half (processed with ginger), Atractylodes macrocephala 2 qian, Pinellia ternata (processed with ginger) 1 qian, Clove 2 qian and a half, Nutmeg 2 qian and a half, Aconite root (soaked and peeled) 1 qian and a half.

Benefits

When smallpox lesions lack luster, do not swell, and the base is not red; the exterior is deficient, itchy, and sunken. When ulcers indicate yin excess and yang deficiency, accompanied by fever and thirst, cold hands and feet, a weak and feeble pulse, spontaneous loose stools, and the patient remains unaware of the heat even when drinking boiling water.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose. Boil with 1.5 large bowls of water, adding 5 slices of fresh ginger and 3 plump jujubes, until reduced to 6 fen. Strain and take warm on an empty stomach. For a 3-year-old child, take 3 doses; for a 5-year-old, take 2 doses; for a 2-year-old, take 3–5 doses per week.
