Chinese Name : 通肠痔漏丸

Drug Formulation

Atractylodes macrocephala (fried with wheat bran), Poria cocos (baked), Angelica sinensis (washed with wine, coarsely chopped, not exposed to fire), Phellodendron amurense (fried),Qianghuo (roasted), Duhuo, Fangji (baked), Fangfeng, Dingfengcao (i.e., young Duhuo shoots, used raw), Jingjie (raw), Shandougen (not exposed to fire), Baizi Ren (raw), Baixianpi (roasted with vinegar), Bai Jili (raw), Chishao (roasted with vinegar), Baibu (roasted with vinegar) 1 liang,Ginseng 5 qian (baked; increase to 1 liang over time), Sophora flavescens 5 qian (roasted), Coix seed 5 qian (baked), Trichosanthes root 2 liang (roasted until dry), Borax 1 qian (increase to 3 qian for severe cases).

Processing

Grind each ingredient into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 100 pills per dose, washed down with lotus seed soup, three times daily. Continue until 12 liang have been taken; recovery will occur. For severe cases, do not exceed 1 jin.

Note

Avoid frying and stir-frying, alcohol, sexual activity, and emotional agitation.
