Chinese Name : 羌活补髓丸

Drug Formulation

3 liang of Qianghuo, 3 liang of Chuanxiong, 3 liang of Danggui, 2 liang of Guixin, 4 liang of Ren Shen, 1 sheng of date pulp (ground to a paste-like consistency), 1 sheng of sheep marrow, 1 sheng of butter, 2 sheng of beef marrow, and 2 sheng of hemp seeds (roasted and ground to a paste-like consistency).

Processing

First, pound the five dried herbs into a fine powder. Add the date paste and hemp seeds, then pound again until well blended. Add the two types of marrow and the clarified butter, place the mixture in a copper bowl, and simmer in a double boiler. Form the mixture into pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 30 pills per dose, gradually increasing to 40 pills, washed down with wine, twice daily.
