For severe redness, swelling, and pain in the eyes, with an unbearable aversion to sunlight and sensitivity to light.

Instructions for Use

Mix the dew collected from lotus leaves, or well water infused with flowers, to moisten the bottom of a bowl. Place a moxa fire atop the bowl to fumigate the mixture until the smoke permeates the herbs and they dry. Scrape the residue into a container, mix it with dew (water collected in a clam shell under moonlight is particularly effective), and let it steep. Cover the liquid with paper to skim off the clear water, then use it to wash the inside of the eyes, or take a small sip to rinse the mouth and swallow it.
