Drug Formulation
Seaweed 1 qian, Fritillaria 1 qian, Dried Tangerine Peel 1 qian, Kelp 1 qian, Green Tangerine Peel 1 qian, Chuanxiong 1 qian, Angelica 1 qian, Pinellia 1 qian, Forsythia 1 qian, Licorice Knots 1 qian, Du Huo 1 qian, Kelp 5 fen.

Benefits
For goiters in the early stages—whether swollen or hard, red or not red—but not yet ruptured. Caused by disharmony between the liver and spleen, leading to qi stagnation and phlegm condensation. A “stone goiter” is hard as stone, does not move when pressed, and shows no change in skin color.
Instructions for Use
Decoct the above herbs in 2 zhong of water until reduced to 8 fen. Administer the decoction before or after meals, depending on the severity of the condition.
Note
When taking this formula, one must first abstain from rich and greasy foods and heavy meats; subsequently, one should refrain from sexual activity and cultivate a calm mind.
