Drug Formulation
Magnolia Bark (processed with ginger juice), Dried Tangerine Peel, Licorice (roasted), Cardamom Seeds, Changshan (the “chicken bone” variety), Areca Nut, and Green Tangerine Peel—each in equal parts.

Instructions for Use
Take 5 qian per dose. Boil with 1.5 zhan of water and half a zhan of wine until reduced to 1 zhan. Strain out the residue, let it sit overnight, and the next morning, warm it slightly and take it while still warm. Rest for a short while afterward. Avoid hot foods for half a day. If cold symptoms predominate, add more wine; if heat symptoms predominate, add more water. Simmer over low heat until thoroughly cooked. It will not cause vomiting or diarrhea, and relief is felt after a single dose.
Note
Avoid hot foods for half a day after taking the medicine; this formula is not suitable for those who are weak or frail, nor for those with a constitution of inherent spleen-stomach deficiency-cold.
