Drug Formulation

Tiger Bone (roasted), Changshan, Licorice (roasted), Soft-shelled Turtle Carapace (roasted), Black Plum (simmered), Wei Rui, Bai Wei, Cimicifuga, Poria, Gypsum (ground), Anemarrhena, Ophiopogon (core removed), Fermented Soybean Paste (simmered), and White Bark of Lycium—all in equal parts.

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey, and form into pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Before the onset of symptoms, take 20 pills on an empty stomach in the evening; on the day symptoms appear, take 40 pills at dawn, then walk 10 li and eat one bowl of plain rice porridge; when symptoms are about to appear, take another 30 pills.

Note

Avoid seaweed, Chinese cabbage, strong vinegar, raw scallions, raw lettuce, and amaranth; exercise caution with raw and cold foods for 3 days.
