Drug Formulation

4 liang of white alum, 4 liang of soapstone alum, 5 qian of child’s tea, and half a jin of cypress leaves.

Processing

Add 10 bowls of water and decoct the four ingredients until the liquid has boiled down several times; set aside for later use.

Instructions for Use

First, apply tung oil to the affected area. Dip a paper wick in tung oil, light it, and fumigate the affected area with the smoke for a short while. Then, pour the aforementioned decoction while still boiling into a clean bucket placed on a stand, cover it with a cloth, and use the steam to fumigate the area—do not let the steam escape. Once it has cooled slightly, pour it into a basin and soak the affected area for a long time.

Note

This treatment is not suitable for mild cases; avoid taking hot baths for seven days.
