Formulas Name : Yellow Goat Kidney Decoction

Drug Formulation
1 pair of goat kidneys (membranes removed, cut into 8 slices), 2 liang of magnetite (crushed and rinsed with water to remove the red liquid), 1 liang of astragalus (chopped), 3 fen of lycium bark, 1 liang of ophiopogon (core removed), 2 liang of prepared rehmannia root, 3 fen of schisandra, 1 liang of ginseng (root tip removed), 3 fen of cinnamon bark, and 1 liang of white poria.

Instructions for Use
For each dose, first use 1.5 large bowls of water to decoct the sheep’s kidney until reduced to 1 bowl; remove the kidney and any fat floating on the surface. Then add 1 liang of the powder and 5 jujubes, decoct until reduced to 7 fen, strain out the residue, and take in two warm doses—one on an empty stomach and one before dinner.
