Chinese Name : 驻颜膏

Drug Formulation

Half a liang of beeswax, half a liang of mutton fat, 1 he of Jia-jian, half a fen of litchi root (chopped), and half a liang of cinnabar (finely ground).

For chapped lips and face.

Instructions for Use

First, melt the beeswax slightly over low heat in a copper pot; add the mutton fat and simmer until it comes to a boil once. Next, add the decoction of turtle shell, lithospermum root, and cinnabar, and simmer for three more boils. Strain through cotton to remove the residue, store in a bamboo tube, and use as desired once it has solidified.
