Drug Formulation

1 qian of dried ginger, 2 qian of schisandra, 3 qian of white poria, 5 qian of fangfeng, 6 qian of white peony root, 7 qian of bupleurum, 1 liang of ginseng, 1 liang of fried licorice, 1 liang of angelica root (washed with wine), 1 liang of white atractylodes, 1 liang of cimicifuga, 1 liang of kudzu root, 1 liang 5 qian of astragalus, and 1 liang 5 qian of notopterygium.

Benefits

In the early stages of internal cataracts, vision is slightly blurred, with dark spots appearing in the field of vision, and the tear fluid turns pale green; subsequently, objects appear double, and the tear fluid turns pale white; over time, vision is completely lost, and the tear fluid turns pure white.

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients. For each dose, take 5–7 qian of the mixture, add 3 large bowls of water, and decoct until reduced to 2 large bowls. Add 2 qian each of Scutellaria baicalensis and Coptis chinensis, decoct together for several boils, strain out the residue, and decoct further until reduced to 1 bowl. Take while hot, well after a meal.
