Drug Formulation
2 liang of Taiyin Xuanjing, 2 liang of sodium carbonate, 2 liang of sulfur, 1 liang of realgar.

Processing
Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, place in a porcelain jar, seal tightly, and place half a jin of fire around the jar at a distance of one cun from the jar’s body. After approximately half a day, when the mixture turns bluish-purple, extinguish the fire; once cooled, remove the contents. Mix with snowwater from the twelfth lunar month until evenly moistened, then place in a porcelain jar and dry in the shade on the north side of the main hall. Bury the mixture in the ground for 14 days, then remove and grind finely. Form into pills the size of a chicken’s head using wheat flour paste.

First, take a hot bath, then take one pill mixed with mugwort decoction. Cover yourself with a blanket until you break a sweat.
