Drug Formulation

Zijinpi (stir-fried with vinegar), Liu Jinu, Sichuan Angelica (baked, stir-fried with salt water), Fragrant Angelica (stir-fried with vinegar, dosage may be adjusted), Red Peony Root, White Peony Root (stir-fried with rice water, dosage may be adjusted), Black Phaselus, Raw Rehmannia (salt-baked, soaked, stir-fried), Sichuan Ligusticum (soaked in rice water),Chuan Niuxi (soaked in tea water), Frankincense (may be adjusted), Myrrh (may be adjusted), Pogostemon (fried in wine), Akebia (knots removed), Wood Fragrance (fried in tea water), Natural Copper (not used if the bone is not fractured; use when recovery is imminent),Agastache, Equisetum, Cinnamomum cassia (may be adjusted), Notopterygium, Angelica pubescens, Pinellia 3 qian (stir-fried with water; omit if no phlegm), Dipsacus asper 1 liang, Aconitum carmichaeli (stir-fried with vinegar; not for pregnant women) 1 liang, Aconitum carmichaeli (fire-roasted; not for pregnant women) 1 liang.

Processing

Ziran Tong, Cinnamomum cassia, Myrrh, and Frankincense are not stir-fried; the remaining herbs may be stir-fried, baked over fire, or sun-dried—all methods are acceptable. Then add the four unstir-fried ingredients, grind them all together into a powder, form into pills the size of a marble using honey paste, and coat with yellow丹.

Instructions for Use

For injuries caused by falls or blows, or wounds from blades or arrowheads—regardless of severity—take 1 pill per dose. For severe internal injuries such as severed tendons caused by blade wounds, take with peppermint decoction or decoctions of papaya, ginger, or lampwick.
