A Highly Effective Remedy for Hemorrhoidal Fistulas

Drug Formulation
3 qian of Goose-Tube Stone, 5 qian of alum, 5 qian of orpiment, 5 qian of realgar, 5 qian of lead ore, 5 qian of Japanese sulfur (obtained by melting black mountain lead, pouring it onto the ground, and pounding it until paper-thin, then cutting it into fine threads), 1 liang of Chen cinnabar, 2 qian of rock salt, 2 qian of blue saltpeter, and 2 qian of rue (use the black variety).

Processing
Grind all the ingredients into a fine powder. Take one Yangcheng jar, prepare it in advance, fill it with the medicine, and seal it tightly. Place it over a fire for about the duration of one incense stick. Then, coat the entire jar with calcined gypsum. Simmer over a combination of gentle and moderate heat for five incense sticks’ worth of time, then remove the elixir and store it. For each dose, take 3 li, mix thoroughly with 7 fen of the “Rui Chang San” (Intestinal-Moistening Powder), form into pills using jujube pulp or cooked rice, and wrap them in tofu skin before ingestion.
