Drug Formulation

5 liang of Xiangfu (divided into 4 portions: 1 soaked in a child’s urine, 1 in rice vinegar, 1 in human milk, and 1 in salted wine), 2 liang of Qi Ai (simmered in vinegar), 2 liang of Danggui, 1.5 liang of Chuanxiong, 1.5 liang of Baishao, 1.5 liang of Shu Dihuang (steamed with wine), 1.5 liang of Huangqin, 1 liang of Ejiao (steamed with wine), and 1 liang of Chouchun root bark.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; pound the Rehmannia glutinosa and donkey-hide gelatin until well blended; add vinegar paste to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
