Drug Formulation
1 liang of Wood Fragrance, 1 liang of Rhinoceros Horn, 1 liang of Rhubarb, 1 liang of Gardenia Seed, 1 liang of Cimicifuga, 1 liang of Scutellaria, 1 liang of Coptis, 1 liang of Belamcanda, 1 liang of Phellodendron, 1 liang of White Polygonum, 1 liang of Licorice (roasted), 1 liang of Soda, 1 liang of Rosewood, 1 liang of Antelope Horn.

For various sores and abscesses in their initial stage, characterized by swelling, redness, and increasing heat and pain.
Instructions for Use
Coarsely crush the ingredients above, mix with 5 he of fresh Rehmannia root juice (if unavailable, use 5 liang of fresh or dried Rehmannia root, chopped into small pieces), and blend thoroughly. For each dose, use 5 liang of the mixture and 1 dou of water; decoct until reduced to 7 sheng. Add 5 qian of musk. Dip a clean piece of silk in the medicated solution and apply it to the swollen area 2–3 times daily; replace it as soon as it cools.
