Drug Formulation

Half a jin of gypsum, 1 jin of Scrophularia root, 3 liang of white mustard seed, 3 liang of Pinellia tuber, 1 liang of Anemarrhena rhizome, 1 liang of licorice root, 5 liang of Ophiopogon tuber, several bamboo leaves, and 1 liang of ginseng.

Instructions for Use

First, boil half a jin of glutinous rice to make a decoction, then strain out the rice grains. Use half a pot of this decoction to simmer the aforementioned herbs, yielding several bowls of the resulting decoction. Whenever the patient asks for water, give them this decoction to drink; provide it as soon as they ask. Once they have drunk it all, they will surely fall asleep.
