Processing
Process the herbal materials until clean and prepare them according to standard methods. Decoct 120 liang of bitter Platycodon and 50 liang of licorice with 30 liang of Wood Fragrance twice: 2.5 hours for the first decoction and 1.5 hours for the second. Extract the oil from 80 liang of dried tangerine peel for 8 hours, then collect the decoction once all the oil has been extracted.Bitter Platycodon (200 liang), Wood Fragrance (26 liang), Charred Schisandra (160 liang), Ephedra (8 liang), Calcined Gypsum (40 liang), and Licorice (30 liang) are ground into a fine powder, sieved through a 100-mesh sieve, and mixed thoroughly. Combine the decoctions, filter out the sediment, and concentrate under reduced pressure to a thick paste with a specific gravity of 1.3 g at 50°C.Take the original powder and the thick paste in the specified ratio to make pills, then dry them at a low temperature. Apply a glossy coating. Each hundred pills have a dry weight of 5 qian; each bag contains 1.5 qian.
