Instructions for Use
Extract the juice and strain out the residue; use it to make congee. When the congee is half-cooked, wrap 100 grains of Sichuan pepper in cotton and add them to the congee along with a slice of ginger. Remove them when fully cooked. Then, add one pair of mutton kidneys (with the fatty membrane removed), finely sliced to the size of chive leaves, to the congee and cook until done. Add an appropriate amount of salt and consume.
