Drug Formulation

1.5 liang of Ginseng, 1.5 liang of White Atractylodes, 1 liang of Bupleurum, 1 liang of Scutellaria, 0.5 liang of White Angelica, 0.5 liang of Anemarrhena, 0.5 liang of Licorice (roasted), 1 softshell turtle shell (half a finger in size, roasted with ghee).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Prepare Astragalus Paste (using half a jin of Astragalus, coarsely ground; add 2 dou of water and boil down to 1 dou; strain out the residue; boil again, stirring constantly until it forms a paste, reducing to half a jin; add 1 liang of white honey and 1 liang of malt syrup; boil further until the honey and malt syrup are fully incorporated, yielding 10 liang of paste; let cool) and shape into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
