Drug Formulation

Dried tangerine peel (white pith removed): 3 liang; Atractylodes macrocephala (roasted): 3 liang; Poria cocos: 3 liang; Licorice root (roasted): 3 liang; Pinellia tuber (fermented): 3 liang; Fritillaria bulb: 3 liang; Citrus aurantium peel: 3 liang; Shenqu (roasted): 3 liang; Platycodon root: 3 liang; Scutellaria baicalensis root: 3 liang; Borax: 1 liang; Cyperus rotundus (processed): 1 liang.

Processing

Coarsely grind the ingredients. In a large porcelain basin, mix 1 bowl of bamboo sap with ginger juice and half a zhan of wine, then blend thoroughly with the herbs. Dry in the sun at noon. Repeat this process—adding bamboo sap and ginger juice and mixing and sun-drying—seven times in total. Grind into a fine powder, then form into pills the size of mung beans using a mixture of wine and water.

Instructions for Use

Take 80 pills per dose, washed down with plain hot water after meals or before bedtime. Results are evident within 3 days; for chronic cases, improvement occurs within 7 days; and for severely weakened patients, complete recovery is achieved within 1 month.
