Atractylodes (roasted) 5 liang, fermented soybeans (roasted) 3.5 liang, Ephedra (roots and nodes removed) 2 liang.

Grind the above ingredients into a coarse powder.

Benefits

For epidemic diseases during an outbreak, within 2–3 days, when the patient has not yet sweated or had a purgative episode.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose with 1 large bowl of water; decoct until reduced to 7 parts, strain, and drink while hot. If sweating recurs, take another dose if sweating has not yet occurred.
