Drug Formulation

Ba Ji 1 liang, Sulfur (finely ground, washed with water) 1 liang, Cinnamon Bark 1 liang, Psoralea (lightly roasted) 1 liang, Realgar (finely ground) 1 liang, Aconite Root (roasted until cracked, with skin and pith removed) 1 liang, Fenugreek (lightly roasted) 1 liang,1 liang of Sichuan red pepper (subtly roasted), 1 liang of Frankincense, 1 liang of Cistanche (soaked in wine overnight, wrinkled skin scraped off, and roasted until dry), and 1 liang of Evodia (soaked in boiling water 7 times, baked dry, and lightly roasted).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder and mix thoroughly. Take 3 pairs of sheep kidneys, remove the tendons and membranes, and simmer in 3 sheng of good wine until thick and tender. Mix the powdered herbs with the simmered mixture and form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
