Drug Formulation

1 liang of Asparagus root, 1 liang of Ophiopogon tuber, 1 liang of Polygala root, 1 liang of Eupatorium herb, 1 liang of raw Rehmannia root, 1 liang of prepared Rehmannia root, 1 liang of Aconite root, 1 liang of small fennel, 1 liang of large fennel, 1 liang of Notopterygium root, 1 liang of Trichosanthes seed, 1 liang of Angelica root.

Instructions for Use

Slice all the herbs. Place them in 1 jin of sesame oil and let them steep for 3 days. Transfer the herbs and oil to a pot and simmer until the mixture turns black. Strain out the herbal residue, transfer the clarified oil to a porcelain jar, and let it settle before use. Preparation method: Take 1 large crucian carp, remove the scales, skin, and intestines, and clean thoroughly. Next, take 5 qian each of realgar and cinnabar (ground into powder) and 3 liang of sulfur (powdered),mix them thoroughly and stuff them into the fish’s belly. Wrap the fish in several layers of cotton paper, then wrap it in bread dough. Place it in a bed of embers and bake until cooked. Remove and let cool. Extract the three medicinal ingredients, remove the fish bones and head, then pound the fish meat together with the herbs into a paste. Form into pills the size of mung beans, coat them with wheat flour, and sun-dry for later use.Method for Feeding Chickens: Take one white-breasted Silkie chicken, starve it for 3 days, then give it rice washing water to drink. Next, seal the chicken’s vent, and slowly feed it the aforementioned medicine. Once the medicine is exhausted, quickly slaughter the chicken, remove the gizzard along with the intestines, sort out the contents, dry them in the sun, and grind into a fine powder. Method for Preparing the Decoction: 3 liang of rosin, as prepared earlier.3 liang of sesame oil, half a zhong each of scallion juice and sour vinegar. First, simmer the scallion juice, vinegar, and oil until the mixture forms beads that do not disperse when a drop of water is added. Then add the powdered rosin. While simmering, gradually incorporate the previously prepared medicine. Remove from heat after a short while to cool, then immediately add the following fine powders: 5 qian each of frankincense, myrrh, roasted cloves, and dried ginger; 1 liang of cinnamon; 5 qian of Sichuan pangolin scales (roasted with the above ingredients); and 2 qian of musk.Stir well, simmer into a medicated ointment, and store in a porcelain jar. For each application, spread 3 qian of the ointment on a square piece of silk and use it in the evening. First, rub the navel with scallion juice and crushed fresh ginger; once warmed, apply the ointment. Drink 1–2 zhong of fine wine, then warm your hands and gently massage the area 100 times; sexual potency will naturally become firm and robust. Each application should be used for one month before replacing it. If you wish to achieve complete mastery of sexual energy, you must discontinue use of this ointment.
