Drug Formulation

4 liang of a young boy’s hair (simmered in wine until it becomes a paste), 4.5 liang of Sichuan pepper, 5 qian of black pepper, 2 liang of Yangqishi,1.5 liang of Sichuan Aconite, 1.5 liang of Polygonum multiflorum, 1.5 liang of Wild Aconite, 1.5 liang of Dried Lacquer, 1.5 liang of Cinnabar, 1.5 liang of Needle Cinnabar (grind all into a fine powder, mix thoroughly with the child’s hair paste, place in a Yangcheng jar and seal it; burn with mulberry wood fire until the jar turns red, then bury it in a shaded area; after 7 days, it is ready for use), 3 liang of walnut kernels (roasted with wheat bran until yellow),3 liang of cypress seeds, 3 liang of raw rehmannia (soaked in wine), 3 liang of goji berries, and 3 fen of musk (baked in bread; licorice root is fire-roasted until the dough is cooked).
