Drug Formulation

1 liang of Kongqing, 1 liang of Dingfen, 1 liang of Baishizhi, 1 liang of cinnabar, 1 liang of Taohuashi, and 4 liang of salt flowers.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into an extremely fine powder, place it in a porcelain jar, cover it with salt, and seal it tightly. Wait until it is dry, then apply heat from all four sides of the jar using a fire of one or two jin intensity. Once hot, apply a moderate fire to all four sides, gradually reducing the heat. After one meal’s time, allow the fire to die out naturally.Once cooled, open the jar, remove the contents, and crush them. Wash with water to remove the salty taste, then sun-dry. Add 1 fen of musk, grind everything together until uniform, and mix with soft rice to form pills the size of a sesame seed.
