Drug Formulation
3 qian of mercury, 3 qian of fire-refined calcium carbonate, 3 qian of moonstone, 2 qian of table salt, 2 qian of soapstone alum, 2 qian of white arsenic, 3 qian of gallic alum, and 2 qian of realgar.

Instructions for Use
Pour the above ingredients into a Yangcheng jar and heat over low flame until a crust forms. Next, take a coarse porcelain basin, place the Yangcheng jar upside down over it, and seal it tightly with salt mud. Take a wooden bucket, fill it with cool water, and secure the porcelain basin inside with bricks. Then take a coarse earthenware bowl,with a round hole drilled in the center of its bottom, and place it over the base of the Yangcheng jar. Set a charcoal fire inside the bowl and calcine for the duration of three sticks of incense.
