Drug Formulation

He Shou Wu 4 liang (peeled with a bamboo knife, sliced, steamed nine times with black beans and sun-dried nine times, then mixed once with human milk), Dang Gui 1 liang (washed with wine), Zhi Mu 2 liang (stir-fried with wine to remove the fuzz), Chuan Xiong 1 liang, Du Zhong 2 liang (coarse bark removed, stir-fried with ginger juice to remove the fibers), Bai Fu Ling 1 liang (peeled), Qing Yan 1 liang,Poria Sclerotium 1 liang (peeled and core removed), Polygala 1 liang (core removed, soaked in licorice decoction for half a day), Sichuan Pepper 1 liang (seeds removed, sweated to release oils, red skin retained, white pith removed), Achyranthes (washed with wine), Cinnabar 1 liang (ground into powder, stir-fried in small batches), Honey 1 jin (refined until mirror-like), Ginger Juice 2 liang,2 liang of Phellodendron bark (peeled, soaked in wine, sun-dried, then soaked overnight), Polygonum multiflorum (washed in wine), Fennel seeds (cleaned of soil, washed in salt water, stir-fried until golden), 1 liang of Asparagus root (core removed),Ophiopogon (core removed) 1 liang, walnut meat 4 liang (oil removed, stir-fried until golden), Eclipta prostrata 4 liang (decocted in water until it has boiled vigorously 5 times), Acorus tatarinowii (washed with salt, lightly stir-fried) 1 liang, raw Rehmannia (washed with wine) 1 liang, prepared Rehmannia (washed with wine) 1 liang, calcite (oil removed) 1 liang, Morinda officinalis (thoroughly washed with wine) 1 liang,Mountain Ginseng (soak in 2–3 bowls of rice-washing water for half a day; scrape off the coarse skin with a bamboo knife; discard any rotten parts; select only the good ones, chop them finely, and pound them into a paste; place in a clay pot with 3 bowls of water and simmer until the liquid in the pot is completely evaporated; remove; repeat the soaking process in the clay pot, changing the rice-washing water 1–2 times; then simmer with wine until it becomes a paste; mix this paste with the Huanlian juice and ginger juice, and combine with the powdered herbs).

Instructions for Use
