Drug Formulation

12 Chinese partridges, 12 honeybees, 8 green beetles (wings and legs removed, stir-fried),2 centipedes (each 5 cun long; do not substitute with wild kudzu), 60 spotted mantises (wings and legs removed), 1 liang of Lepidium (stem removed), 1 liang of *Lü Ru*, 1 liang of lead丹, 2 liang of Aconite (roasted until cracked, skin and navel removed), 60 seeds of Croton tiglium (husk removed), and 2 jin of lard.

Processing

Except for the lard and lead丹, coarsely chop all the ingredients. First, heat the lard until it boils, then add the medicinal ingredients. Simmer for half a day, strain out the residue, and filter through a cotton cloth. Simmer again, add the lead丹, stir thoroughly with a willow whisk until evenly mixed, and store in a porcelain container.

Apply and rub onto the affected area 3–5 times daily until healed.
