Processing

Benefits

For the initial stages of various swellings and toxic conditions—such as boils, back abscesses, sores and carbuncles, wandering abscesses, and jaw abscesses—manifesting as redness, swelling, hardness, and pain; or diffuse swelling without a defined center that persists for days without subsiding, with unclear fluctuations between heat and cold; as well as unilateral or bilateral headaches and eye pain.

Instructions for Use

Apply the mixture mixed with hot wine or scallion broth. All applications must be applied warm; if the poultice dries out, moisten it thoroughly with the original broth.

Note

If the fever is severe, do not mix the paste with wine; instead, use a decoction of scallions to apply the mixture as a hot compress. Once the condition improves slightly, resume using wine as the base. If blood blisters form small sores on the affected area, do not use beeswax, as its sticky nature may cause discomfort when removing the dressing; instead, apply the four-ingredient mixture first, then cover it with beeswax for four weeks. Do not take this formula internally.
