Drug Formulation

Cloves: half liang; areca nut: 1 (weighing 3 qian); black aconite: 1 (weighing half liang, roasted, with skin and pith removed); imported sulfur (purified and ground): 2 qian; black pepper: 2 qian.

Processing

First grind the four ingredients into a fine powder, then mix thoroughly with the sulfur.

Instructions for Use

Take 2 qian per dose. Take one young flying bird (such as a sparrow), remove its feathers, wings, legs, intestines, and stomach, and stuff the medicine inside. Wrap it securely in 5–7 layers of damp paper, heat it over a low flame until warm, then remove it. Chew it and swallow it with warm wine after a meal, three times daily. If the patient does not consume meat or alcohol, take it with millet porridge at any time.
