Drug Formulation

Ochre (ground) 1 qian, Pearl (ground) 1 qian, Amber (ground) 1 qian, Musk (ground) 1 qian, Gastrodia (Tianma) 1 qian, Curcuma (ground) 1 qian, Licorice (roasted, coarsely chopped) 1 qian,Lead Oxide (ground) 1 qian, Realgar (ground) 1 qian, Iron Powder (ground) 1 qian, Ginseng 2 qian, Poria (wood removed) 2 qian, Pinellia (processed with ox bile) 2 qian, Cinnabar (ground) half liang, Borneol (ground) 1.5 qian, Gold leaf 10 pieces, Silver leaf 10 pieces (ground together and added to the mixture).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix thoroughly, then knead with refined honey to form pills the size of a chicken’s head. Coat each pill with 5 large gold leaf pieces by rolling them in the mixture.

Take 1 pill per dose, chew thoroughly, and swallow with a decoction of ginseng and mint; for children, take half a pill.
