Dao Chi Xie Xin Decoction,In cases of Shanghan with classical symptoms, where the epigastrium is not hard, the abdomen is not distended, urination and defecation are normal, and there is no fever or chills, but heat has transmitted to the Heart (Hand-Shaoyin), causing Heart-fire to rise and oppress the Lungs, gradually leading to mental confusion and inability to speak, or muttering one or two sentences in one’s sleep; the eyes and lips are red and parched; the tongue is dry but the patient refuses water; thin porridge can be swallowed if offered, but the patient shows no desire for it otherwise; the patient appears as if intoxicated.

Instructions for Use

Add 2 zhong of water, along with fresh ginger and jujubes, and decoct. Add one handful of lampwick, bring to a boil, and administer immediately.
