Drug Formulation
Atractylodes (firm variety; soak in rice washing water for 3 days, then rinse in fresh water; slice, sun-dry, and soak in green salt water overnight) 4 liang; lotus seeds (high-quality; remove the cores; soak in clean wine overnight) 4 liang;1 large male pig’s stomach (scrub the inner walls, soak, fill with the first two ingredients, sew tightly shut with thread, simmer in ash-free wine until tender, remove, pound to a pulp in a stone mortar, shape into small cakes, dry in the sun, grind into a fine powder, and mix with the remaining ingredients), Pinellia tuber 4 liang (clean and slice finely, soak in 1 small zhong of ginger juice overnight, stir-fry with soil from the center of the hearth to remove the soil—discard the soil),4 liang of Da Ban Xia (boiled in water to remove mucus, sun-dried and ground into a powder; soak in good vinegar for 7 days until steamed through but not numbing; add to the mixture), 4 liang of tangerine peel (chopped, stir-fried with hearth soil; discard the soil), 1 liang of roasted grain sprouts, 1 liang of Magnolia officinalis, 1 liang of Atractylodes macrocephala, 1 liang of roasted barley sprouts, 1 liang of licorice, 1 liang of ginseng,Poria 1 liang, White Cardamom 1 liang, Curcuma Zedoaria 1 liang, Curcuma Longa 1 liang, Amomum 1 liang, Piper longum 1 liang, Myrrh 0.5 liang, Cloves 0.5 liang, Agarwood 0.5 liang, Millet 4 liang (soaked in ginger juice and stir-fried).
