Drug Formulation

Half a jin of deer pear root, half a jin of Cnidium monnieri, 4 liang of genuine剪草 (chicken-intestine grass may also be used), and 3 qian of sulfur.

The formula is from *Pu Ji Fang* (Vol. 272), citing *Ren Cun Fang*; the name appears in *Ben Cao Gang Mu* (Vol. 30).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, then mix thoroughly with mercury oxide.

Mix with sesame oil and apply as a poultice; for children, dab the mixture onto a silk garment; keep the garment on for 7 days without removing it, and the condition will heal on its own.
