Coarsely crush the ingredients and soak them in 1 dou of vinegar. Form three mounds of fresh, fine soil; as soon as the decoction comes to a boil, lower the herbs onto the soil mounds. Repeat this process three times—boiling three times and lowering the herbs three times—until the decoction is ready. Strain through a fresh cloth to remove the dregs.
