Drug Formulation

Chuan Wutou (roasted, with skin and tip removed) 1 liang, tiger bone (roasted in wine) 1 liang,Achyranthes root (soaked in wine overnight) 1 liang, decayed turtle shell (soaked in wine, then roasted) 1 liang, dried scorpion (detoxified, stir-fried) 1 liang, fragrant white angelica root half liang, Aconite root (roasted, with skin and navel removed) half liang, Liquidambar resin (ground) half liang, Rhododendron flower (with center removed) half liang, Dehuo root (with root tip removed) half liang,Agastache leaf (soil removed) half liang, white silkworm pupae (roasted, silk mouthparts removed) half liang, ephedra (roots and nodes removed) half liang, angelica root (washed in wine) half liang, white flowered snake (roasted in wine, flesh only) half liang, earthworm (soil removed, roasted) half liang, smilax root half liang,Golden-haired Dogspine (hairs removed) half liang, Tianma (shoots removed) half liang, Chuanxiong half liang, Trumpet Creeper flower half liang, Rhinoceros Horn shavings half liang, Myrrh (ground separately) half liang, Cinnabar (ground separately) 1 fen, Ox Bile (ground separately) 1 fen,Musk (ground separately) 1 fen, Frankincense (ground separately) 1 fen, Borneol (ground separately) 1 fen.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix thoroughly, and form into pills with refined honey. Make 15 pills per liang, coated with cinnabar.

Benefits

For all types of stroke, left-sided paralysis and right-sided weakness, hemiplegia; or injuries from falls or blows, pain in the bones and joints, stiffness of tendons and meridians, weakness in the lower back and legs, difficulty walking, and pain in the limbs; as well as headaches, shoulder and arm pain, and unbearable “White Tiger Wind” (severe headache).

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill at a time, chew it thoroughly, and swallow it with warm wine; for severe conditions, take 2 pills. If you do not drink alcohol, take it with Schizonepeta tea; there is no restriction on the time of day.
