Elm seeds (peeled) 1 liang, Coptis (top removed) 1 liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take 7 pig gallbladders, split them open to extract the juice, and mix the juice with the two medicinal ingredients in a bowl. Steam over a steamer for 9 days, once daily. Once the required number of days is complete, grind 5 fen of musk, soak it in hot water overnight, then mix it with steamed buns to form a paste. Roll into pills the size of mung beans.

Take 5–20 pills per dose, washed down with rice water, at any time of day. Take over a prolonged period.
