Processing

First batch: Simmer genuine sesame oil thoroughly over mulberry wood fire. Second batch: Add licorice slices to the oil and simmer until charred; remove the dregs. Third batch: Add 60 medicinal ingredients, ranging from Tian Dong to Jiu Zi, to the oil and simmer until charred; strain through double-layered cotton to remove all dregs. Fourth batch: Add Dong Dan to the oil and stir evenly. Fifth batch: Add tender pine resin to the oil and stir evenly; adjust the heat based on the season’s temperature to control the consistency;For the sixth batch, mix tender yellow beeswax into the oil; for the seventh batch, mix six herbs—from Sulfur to Cinnabar—into the oil and stir until uniform, then allow to cool; for the eighth batch, add five herbs—from Frankincense to Wood Fragrance—and stir until uniform; for the ninth batch, add Musk, Toad Venom, Yangqi Stone, and Opium just before use.
