Drug Formulation
3 qian of Coptis, 3 qian of chrysanthemum flowers, 3 qian of honeysuckle, 3 qian of Angelica sinensis root tips, 3 qian of Saposhnikovia root, 2 qian of safflower, 2 qian of Schizonepeta spikelets, 2 qian of bismuth sulfate, 2 qian of Euphorbia seeds, 2 qian of cicada slough, 5 fen of Sichuan pepper, and 2 fen of borneol.

Processing
Wrap the borneol separately. Grind the 11 ingredients (including Coptis) into a coarse powder. Place the borneol in a mortar and grind it into a fine powder, then gradually mix it with the coarse powder from the other ingredients, grinding them together until uniform and sifting through a sieve. Packaging: First, wrap the mixture in white paper into a heart-shaped pouch, then wrap it tightly in silk cotton and tie it securely with a string.

Instructions for Use
Use a new needle to pierce several holes in the medicine. Soak the medicine in one cup of boiling water. While still hot, first use the steam to fumigate the eyes, then wipe them with cotton dipped in the medicated solution. Keep the eye-washing utensils clean.
