Drug Formulation

5 pieces of Shijunzi pulp (as per Formula A), 2.5 pieces of Croton seed pulp, 8 jin of aged pine resin (as per Formula B), 2 liang of Coptis, 2 liang of camphor, and 2 liang of cinnabar (water-floated).

Instructions for Use

Method A: Pound all ingredients together into a single pill; this constitutes one dose. Take it on an empty stomach with hot water mixed with brown sugar. Method B: Grind all ingredients into a fine powder; mix with hot water to form pills the size of mung beans. Take 5 pills per dose on an empty stomach with hot water mixed with brown sugar.About 1–2 hours after taking this medicine, a bowel movement will occur; the number of movements may vary from 2–3 to 6–7. Immediately afterward, drink one bowl of a concentrated decoction of sour-vein grass to stop the diarrhea;After 1–2 days, stew a pair of pig’s trotters with the following herbs: tung seed root, tonghua root, stinkweed root, qinzhi root, dawanzi root, hundred-joint lotus root, and jianshengxiao. Add a small amount of salt and consume the mixture.

Note

Avoid glutinous rice and vegetable oil for one month, and abstain from sexual activity for four months; the disease will then be completely eradicated.
