Drug Formulation

Purple quartz (select purple varieties; those with a shape resembling a “chupu” piece are superior): 2 liang and a half; white quartz (select those shaped like an arrowhead; superior quality): 2 liang and a half; stalactite (extremely white, milky in color; superior quality): 2 liang and a half;Mineral Sulfur (select dry, yellow varieties that produce ash when burned) 2.5 liang, Red Ocher 2.5 liang, Sea Clam 2.5 liang, Trichosanthes Fruit 2.5 liang, Dried Ginger 1.5 liang, White Atractylodes 1.5 liang, Ginseng 0.5 fen, Platycodon Root 0.5 fen, Asarum Root 0.5 fen, Fangfeng 0.3 fen, Black Aconite Root (roasted, peel removed) 0.3 fen, Cinnamon Bark 0.3 fen.

Processing

All the above herbs should be of genuine, fresh, and high quality. Pound each separately and sift them; only after sifting should the powder be prepared. One dose weighs 2 liang and is divided into 3 small portions.

Instructions for Use

Take one thin dose with pure, warm, unadulterated wine. As the sun moves one zhang each day, take another thin dose. Continue in this manner until all three thin doses are consumed. Then, wash your hands and feet with cold water. As the medicine’s potency spreads through the affected areas, the stiffness will subside; you will naturally remove your clothes and bathe thoroughly in cold water. Once the medicine’s potency has fully dissipated and the entire body has cooled, your mind will clear, and the ailment will be cured. Even those who are emaciated and bedridden will be cured within a single day.When taking this medicine, all food must be cold, except for the wine, which should be hot. One should drink pure wine until the body feels a continuous, warm sensation; if one drinks weak wine or clear liquor, it will cause confusion.
