Drug Formulation
5 liang of Wulingzhi, 3 liang of Tianma (soaked in wine overnight, then roasted), 2 liang of Wutou (roasted until cracked, with skin and navel removed), 2 liang of Fengxiangzhi (ground), 2.5 liang of Dilong (cleaned of soil, stir-fried), 1 fen of Frankincense, half a liang of Myrrh (ground), 2 liang of Mubiezi (shell removed),1 liang of Sea-Tong Bark (chopped), 1 he of black beans (hulled), 1 liang of wild Aconite (tips removed), 1 liang of dried scorpions (whole, cleaned of soil), 1 liang of wolf’s-bane (roasted), 1 liang of Achyranthes root (soaked in wine, sliced, and roasted),Cinnabar (ground) half liang, Peppermint leaves 1 liang, Aconite root (roasted until cracked, with skin and pith removed) 1 liang, Angelica root (sliced, roasted) 1.5 liang, Natural copper (calcined, quenched in vinegar) 1 liang, Dipsacus root (peeled) 1 liang, Tiger bone (roasted in ghee) 1 liang, Borneol (ground) 1 qian, Musk (ground) 1 qian.

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; mix with the juice of fresh ginger and scallion whites to form pills the size of a chicken’s egg.

Instructions for Use
Take 1 pill per dose, washed down with ginger, scallions, and wine; for wandering wind, take with frankincense and wine; for sudden stroke, take with mint and wine; for sudden “hidden wind” (internal stroke), take with cockscomb blood and wine; for hemiplegia, take with pine resin decoction and wine—avoid eating scallions; for postpartum blood and qi depletion in women, take with black bean decoction and wine—avoid eating scallions; for postpartum edema and sores on the head and face, accompanied by itching and pain throughout the body, take with Angelica dahurica and wine.
