Instructions for Use
Decoct in water and take orally. The key diagnostic criteria for this formula are summer heat-induced fever, loss of appetite, diarrhea, and a greasy tongue coating.In modern times, it is commonly used to treat heat exhaustion, heatstroke, dysentery, viral pneumonia, and acute enteritis. For example, if there is fever with slight aversion to wind and cold, add Lonicera japonica, Chrysanthemum, and Mulberry leaf; for cough, add Apricot kernel and Trichosanthes peel; for severe heat, add raw Gypsum and Scutellaria baicalensis; for a thick, greasy tongue coating, add Agastache and Eupatorium; for diarrhea, add Coptis and Pueraria root.
