Drug Formulation

6 liang of genuine cotton-like astragalus (i.e., the variety found in arrow quivers; woody astragalus is unsuitable and may cause harm; split it open with a knife to remove the thin outer layer; use 1 liang of white sand honey that is not sour; mix with a small amount of water to make it easier to apply; once thoroughly kneaded,roast it until it turns a light purple color; let it cool and chop it into small pieces (do not grind or sift), and 1 liang of horizontally-striped licorice (roasted and finely chopped).

Instructions for Use

For each dose, take 5 qian of the mixture, add 1 zhan of water, decoct until reduced to 7 fen, and take it. Take 3 doses during the day and 2 at night.
