Take 50 pills each time, washed down with water after a meal, twice daily. After just two days of treatment, the thirst will certainly subside. For severe cases, take 150 pills per dose on the first day, 120 on the second, 100 on the third, 80 on the fourth, and continue in descending order thereafter, until the daily dose is reduced to at least 25 pills. If you feel weak after taking the pills, take one white sheep’s head, thoroughly remove the hair and wash it, then boil it in 3 da dou of water until it falls apart. Discard the head and collect the broth—about 1 dou—and drink it in small sips. No salt is needed; symptoms will subside after no more than three doses.
